Information
The methods used to produce household projections in the different countries of the UK are broadly similar with some differences in the details. A document, Household Projections across the United Kingdom: Technical Report, describes the methods used in each country and is available on the Welsh Government website.
Ashley McCormick, a PhD student at the University of Liverpool, researched ways to improve household projections. Further details can be read in his paper Projecting Scotland's Households (38 Kb PDF file).
