Estimates of Households and Dwellings in Scotland, 2014

A small error was found in the calculation used to estimate dwellings per hectare for council areas. Dwellings per hectare had been calculated using council area dwellings estimates built up from 2011 Data Zones, and council area hectares estimates built up from 2001 Data Zones. Dwellings per hectare has been re-calculated using council area hectares estimates built up from 2011 Data Zones. This has resulted in a change in dwellings per hectare for 12 council areas in Table 4. The greatest change was made to Glasgow City, where the estimate has been increased from 17.04 to 17.35 dwellings per hectare. In nine other council areas, the estimate has been increased by up to 0.07 dwellings per hectare, and in two council areas the estimate has been decreased by up to 0.02 dwellings per hectare.
