Description

This dataset combines three individual datasets published by the Department for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy (BEIS) of the UK Government. The datasets are Sub-National Total final Energy Consumption, Sub-National Electricity Consumption and Sub-National Gas Consumption.

The energy consumption data is used in calculations to monitor progress towards some of the Scottish Energy Targets.
Timeliness and Punctuality

The sub-national total final energy consumption data is published annually in September and provides data for the year 2 years prior.

The sub-national electricity and gas consumption data is published annually in December and provides data for the year 1 year prior.
Revisions

The dataset is subject to revisions when new versions of source data are published.
