Vital Events Reference Tables 2005
These tables contain 2005 demographic data. They provide the same level of information contained in past (pre-2001) Registrar General's Annual Reports. Tables containing 2005 data will be divided into 9 sections; Summary; Population; Births; Stillbirths and infant deaths; Deaths; Deaths by cause; Marriages; Divorces and Adoptions and re-registrations. The tables - listed below - are based on vital event numbers.
NHS Board Areas
From 1 April 2006 responsibility for NHS Argyll and Clyde was split between NHS Greater Glasgow (now renamed Greater Glasgow and Clyde) and NHS Highland. Tables 1.3, 1.4, 1.5, 2.4, 2.5, 2.6, 2.8, 3.8, 3.9, 5.2 and 6.3 present information for the original NHS Board Areas, but also give data for the relevant component parts of NHS Argyll and Clyde.

*Note: On 27 July 2007 the Mid-year population estimates for 2003-2006 were revised for the 6 Council areas of Aberdeen City, Aberdeenshire, Angus, Dundee City, Moray and Perth & Kinross. As a result, Tables 1.3, 1.4, 1.5, 2.4, 2.5, 2.6, 2.8 and 3.8 have now been revised. More details on the 'Revised Mid-year Population Estimates 2003-2006' are available on this website.
